Merchants? Shouldn’t we be calling ourselves priority-sales-management people or something along those lines? Perhaps – if our main aim was to keep up with the latest jargon. But, first and foremost, we are people with a deep passion for products and new sales channels. And that is what connects us with the city’s Hanseatic tradition – the union of merchants who shared this vision. Albeit without all the vast potential that sales process analyses, the internet, marketing expertise and all those other factors that we modern-day merchants have at our fingertips. Their key tool was an unbridled passion for the success of their products – and that’s something we share, even centuries later!
